The Indian Coffee House was founded in Jabalpur MP is a restaurant chain in India, run by a series of worker co-operative societies. It has strong presence across India with nearly 400 coffee houses.
The coffee house has undisputedly come a long way in catering to the taste buds of gourmets and coffee aficionados.
The tradition of coffee house was introduced in Madhya Pradesh on January 9, 1958.
One was established in Delhi on 27 October 1957.
Delhi’s Indian Coffee House is one of the cheapest and coolest place to unwind as compared to the other chic coffee bars in the City.

The Indian Coffee Workers Cooperative Society (ICWCS) was founded in Bangalore on August 19, 1957. The first coffee house under this cooperative society was opened in the same year on October 27 at the Theatre Communication Building in Connaught Place where one of Delhi's most crowded shopping centre Palika Bazaar is situated now. The place was demolished during the Emergency in the year 1976 and the Indian Coffee House was shifted to Mohan Singh Place in the same area.

The waiters at Indian Coffee House wearing white and grey uniforms with red turban on their head and belts of different colours (red and green) can be seen serving customers of all age groups. The colour combinations in the uniform denote superiority level of the staff.

The Indian Coffee House, New Delhi (Connaught Place) is said to have been a melting pot for politicians, journalists, writers, teachers, scholars and students. It was a place where ideas were proposed and turned down, and debates continued over endless cups of affordable coffee and cutlets.
